IITGN:

Beyond Boundaries is not just a film—it’s a heartfelt portrait of an institution driven by its people. Commissioned by IIT Gandhinagar, this documentary takes viewers deep into the soul of a campus that believes education extends far beyond textbooks, and learning is shaped by experience, empathy, and exploration. Our challenge was to craft a film that would reflect the unique ethos of IITGN—its inclusive culture, academic depth, and vibrant campus life. From concept to final cut, we worked closely with students, faculty, and the administration to bring their untold stories to light.

Our Role

Filmlabs handled the entire production process:

• Concept Development:

  We started with extensive research and interviews to understand the values and vision of IITGN. The concept was shaped to reflect not just institutional milestones, but personal journeys.




• Scripting & Pre-production:

  Crafted a story structure that balanced narrative flow with emotional depth. We identified key individuals whose stories could act as threads through the film.




• On-Campus Shoot:

  Shot over several days on campus, capturing real moments—from early-morning labs and classroom discussions to hostel life, cultural nights, and candid interviews.




• Post-production:

  Editing, sound design, and original score—all crafted to amplify the authenticity and emotional resonance of the story.




• Collaborative Review:

  Multiple rounds of feedback with IITGN stakeholders ensured the film was aligned with their values and vision.
